We recently heard that Elliot Quest’s Wii U sales were much stronger than its PC counterpart. Now the developer of High Strangeness has something similar about his title.

Ben “AgentMOO” Shostak, speaking during a recent episode of Sup Holmes, said that High Strangeness sold “much better” on the Wii U than on Steam. Specific sales figures weren’t shared, but that statement along is very encouraging to hear.

Udon Entertainment made several announcements during a panel at San Diego Comic-Con today. We now know that art books for Bayonetta 2, Persona Q, and Shovel Knight will be made available. Shovel Knight’s art book is slated for Q1 2016 whereas the others are arriving in the second quarter of next year.

At Hyper Japan in the UK this weekend, Nintendo was handing out AR cards that could be used with the 3DS eShop application Photos with Animal Crossing. Previously, this was only made available in Japan back in November 2013.

Those who were lucky enough to be present at Hyper Japan could secure a download for Photos with Animal Crossing by entering a unique code on the eShop. It’s valid through the end of September.

At this time, it’s unknown if Nintendo has full-scale release plans for Photos with Animal Crossing in North America and Europe.

This month’s CoroCoro has started to leak, and it gives us a first look at next year’s Pokemon movie. All of the images are from a trailer that airs after Hoopa and the Clash of Ages. A silhouette of a Pokemon is shown, which is rumored to be Zyngarde (in a different form).

Last week, Anima: Gate of Memories publisher BadLand Indie got in touch with us to confirm that a Wii U version of the game is no longer planned. But Carlos Garcia, creator of the title, soon refuted that information. So what’s the status of the game on Wii U?

We reached out to BadLand Indie once again after presenting Garcia’s latest update, and the company said:

“The fact remains that there are no plans for the Wii U for this upcoming release. There is a possibility of a future release to other platforms, but at this time a Wii U version of Anima: Gate of Memories is not confirmed.”

We then contacted Garcia himself after informing him about the latest information we received. Despite what BadLand Indie continues to say, he’s looking to reassure fans that a Wii U version of Anima is still in the pipeline.

“We are aiming for a Wii U release as much as we were on the first day. Our problem is that we want to do a proper port to Wii U, not just a simple version of the PC, Xbox One and PS4 release; our goal is doing a good Wii U port.

For that reason, we will release in first place the game in other consoles, which have a similar performance, and then we will work in the Wii U version.”

This is an absolutely bizarre situation. BadLand Indie is maintaining the belief that Anima isn’t coming to Wii U – at least for now – though Garcia is absolutely sure that it’s happening. At the moment I’m more inclined to believe the game’s creator, but we’ll see what happens!

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment unveiled a new round of characters for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes during a panel at San Diego Comic-Con today.

Sam Wilson as Captain America, America Chavez, and Crossbones will all be included in the game. Additionally, Stan Lee will be featured in the form of his own Iron Man armor and original Hulkbuster suit called the Stan-Buster.

We’ve included screenshots of the new LEGO Marvel’s Avengers characters in the gallery below. The game launches this winter.
