3DS eShop

Amzy is working on a new shooter for the Japanese 3DS eShop. On December 4, the company will release “Phosphorescent Lanze”. Here’s what we know about the downloadable title thus far:

– Control a mech that can switch between two modes
– Flight form: move fast, can use lock-on missiles that hit multiple targets, and a powerful charge shot
– Can also more easily shake off missiles
– Have a slightly higher attack power
– Can’t make quick movements
– Wide turning radius
– Need more skill to target enemies in flight mode
– Fighting mode: more momentum, easier to target enemies
– Not suited for long distance travel or fighting multiple enemies
– Purchase different subunits that change how your ship performs
– These include lowering defense, but greatly raising attack power.
– 1,000 yen

Two Tribes will be releasing some of its classic games on the Wii U eShop starting with Toki Tori, which the studio hopes will be ready for launch next week. EDGE and RUSH are two other classic titles Two Tribes will publish before year’s end.

In the case of EDGE, it seems as though a 3DS version is also in the cards. This is something that Two Tribes hinted at previously, but never officially announced. But based on a discovery of ours, it’s now all but confirmed.

A rating for a 3DS version of EDGE recently popped up on the USK. After following up with Two Tribes, we were given a simple response: “More news on this soon!” I’d expect an official announcement in the near future.

Kung Fu Rabbit has already appeared on a few platforms, including Wii U. Neko Entertainment has now confirmed plans to bring the game to the 3DS eShop as well. If all goes smoothly, we could see the portable version out before year’s end.

Did you know Nintendo can remotely delete content you’ve purchased on the eShop? It’s true: any item Nintendo deems illegal could be removed from your account and SD card.

One 3DS user discovered this after violating the terms of Club Nintendo’s Fire Emblem: Awakening/Shin Megami Tensei IV promotion. The person ended up registering two copies of both games to her Club Nintendo accounts and obtained two separate $30 eShop credits, but redeemed both codes on a single 3DS.

Just a few weeks later, the 3DS owner was presented with a notice that her Club Nintendo accounts had been deactivated after attempting to log in to the site. The remaining balance from the site’s promotion had also been removed from her eShop account, and SteamWorld Dig – the only game downloaded with the credit – had disappeared.

The issue here is that the promotion stated only one code could be used per account. Users are also forbidden from maintaining two separate Club Nintendo accounts, not to mention registering games they haven’t purchased.

Thankfully for this person, Nintendo of America agreed to reactivate her Club Nintendo accounts. However, the eShop credit as well as SteamWorld Dig were not restored.
