Help lost Pikachu and friends find their way home when Pokémon Rumble U comes exclusively to the Nintendo eShop in August for digital download.

17th July, 2013— Nintendo of Europe & The Pokémon Company International today announced the upcoming Wii U Nintendo eShop release of Pokémon Rumble U: a fun packed action game, with intuitive controls and wild battles.

Pokémon Rumble U is the tale of the Toy Pokémon’s great adventure: after a mishap in the Toy Pokémon Shop, a few Pokémon capsules are swept down a river and washed up on a strange riverbank. Our heroes set out to find their way back to the Toy Pokémon Shop. Along the way our heroes discover all is not right: Can you help our friends discover why some of the Toy Pokémon are fighting each other, and what the enemy Pokémon are plotting?

Coda Games has reached out to Nintendo in hopes of becoming a Wii U developer. Owner John Rhee told us that Nintendo of America’s Dan Adelman guided him through the application process, and he’s hoping to hear back from the Big N soon.

Some of you may be aware that Coda Games created a Kickstarter for Liege, “a party-based, tactical role-playing game”. PS4 and PS Vita versions were just added in as stretch goals yesterday, and the Wii U could soon head down the same path.

According to Rhee, he’d “love” to release Liege on Wii U, mainly due to the fact that SNES titles such as Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger sparked his interest in RPGs. If he becomes a Wii U dev before the Kickstarter ends, the console will “absolutely” become a part of the campaign as a stretch goal.

And just in case you were wondering: Rhee also said that there aren’t any plans for a 3DS version “at this stage”.

Two more classic games are lined up for the Japanese Wii U Virtual Console next week. Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV (Super Famicom), priced at 1,000 yen, will be out on July 24. So too will be Galaga (Famicom), priced at 500 yen.

The wait for Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara on Wii U may not be too much longer. Capcom has provided an official update about the delayed version, stating that it’s now expected to hit the eShop in August. The company said that the Wii U edition encountered some “unexpected dev issues.”
