Wii U eShop

Wii U owners in Japan can soon take advantage of a new eShop promotion from Nintendo.

Add 5,000 yen to your account, and you’ll receive credit as high as 500 yen. It’s similar when you add 10,000 yen to your account – up to 1,000 yen will be given back.

This new promotion will run between June 26 and July 10.

Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara won’t be out today on the Wii U eShop after all, it would seem. Capcom’s launch announcement states that the digital title will be coming to the platform “soon after” the other versions, which will release over the next couple of days.

You can find a launch trailer for Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara above.

Rain Games has confirmed its upcoming puzzle-platformer, Teslagrad, for Wii U. It’s coming to the eShop in Q4. The Wii U version will release alongside the other versions – PlayStation 3, PC, Mac OS X, and Linux.

For the official announcement, a bunch of screenshots, and a couple of videos, continue on below.

When Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara will be launching on the Wii U eShop has been a mystery. Although Capcom has been able to confirm dates for other platforms, the publisher hasn’t had much luck getting a concrete answer from Nintendo.

A listing on the Big N’s own website suggests that Chronicles of Mystara is coming out tomorrow. Whether it can be trusted remains to be seen, but I guess we’ll know if it’s valid in a few hours.

Maestro Interactive Games is bringing a new game to the Wii U eShop known as “Percy’s Predicaments”.

Percy’s Predicaments offers platforming gameplay with some puzzle elements mixed in. You’ll be playing as Percy Penguin, a penguin who has a tendency to get himself into trouble. His nature causes him to come across a magical orb, of which be becomes captured inside. Players will need to collect golden fish in various levels before the time runs out to assist Percy.

Wii U owners can expect 250 levels scattered across multiple words: The Snow Caps, an ice world; The Grass Lands, a rain infested world; The Desert, a world with frequent sand storms; The Mushroom Land, a world filled with mushroom houses and magical properties; The Kingdom, a world full of castles that Percy will navigate; and The Digital World, a tron-esque environment.

Percy’s Penguin will be fully playable off-TV. Maestro will prepare new content for the game over a 12-month period (at least), and new levels will be available for free for a limited time each month. The studio also intends to further polish previously released levels.

No release date has been set for Percy’s Predicaments. When it launches, you’ll be able to grab it for $5.99.
