My Nintendo Europe: New rewards for June added

It’s the start of a new month, which means new rewards just got added to My Nintendo in Europe.
We’re approaching the 1-year anniversary of ARMS, and Nintendo is celebrating that by offering a total of six ARMS-themed PC and mobile wallpapers featuring the game’s characters. They cost 50 Platinum Points each and will be available until December 1st, 2018.
Also on offer is a new 3DS home menu theme: Animal Crossing: Summer Fun. It costs 20 Gold Points and will be available until September 1st, 2018.
Finally, there are a total of four new 3DS and Wii U software discounts on offer:
30% off Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move (Nintendo 3DS) – 100 Platinum Points
50% off Contra III The Alien Wars (SNES Virtual Console on Wii U and New Nintendo 3DS) – 40 Gold Points
30% off The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Nintendo 64 Virtual Console on Wii U) – 30 Gold Points
50% off Burger Time DELUXE (Game Boy Virtual Console on Nintendo 3DS) – 15 Gold Points

Minecraft: latest patch notes for the Switch and Wii U versions

Both the Switch and the Wii U version of Minecraft will be getting a small update later today. Below are the official patch notes (they are identical for both versions):
- Added Egyptian Mythology Mash-Up Pack
- Fix for Minecarts being destroyed by Lava
- Fix for MCCE #7207 – Some Skins are Buggy
- Optimized Beacons: This will allow a larger number of beacons to be placed before any noticeable fps decrease.
Video: A look into Ubisoft’s unreleased Wii U game Know Your Friends

In 2014, Ubisoft mentioned that it had been sitting on a Wii U game for several months. It was completely finished, and was just a matter of when it would release.
Ultimately, Ubisoft chose not to publish the title. After it was clarified that the game was primarily aimed at “families and friends”, it was never officially announced. Footage did end up leaking a year later in February 2015 after it was outed as Know Your Friends.
DidYouKnowGaming? and Liam Robertson have now taken a closer look at Know Your Friends, which did not ship primarily due to slow Wii U sales. Watch the full report below.

Monolith Soft interested in another Xenoblade sequel, X sequel, and an original project

The physical version of Xenoblade Chronicles 2’s soundtrack debuted in Japan this week. Included inside is a booklet, which features a discussion with Monolith Soft boss Tetsuya Takahashi and Koh Kojima, who has been a director on all of the Xenoblade games.
It’s not entirely clear which of the two said it, but it sounds like Takahashi spoke about his interests for future projects. He mentioned wanting to create another Xenoblade sequel, a sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles X, and also making a brand new original story project from scratch.
Last August, Monolith Soft began recruiting for an ambitious new project. Takahashi has also previously expressed interest in bringing Xenoblade Chronicles X to Switch.

Minecraft’s Update Aquatic – Phase One features detailed

Mojang is starting to roll out the Update Aquatic for Minecraft. It’ll be going live on Switch when it’s updated to the Bedrock version on June 21, with the Wii U version to follow.
