In an extremely close call, Popup Dungeon’s Kickstarter has reached a grand total of $102 455 with PayPal backers meaning that it is now officially coming to Wii U. Enrique Dryere of Triple.B.Titles had this to say about the final total:

“Thank you, everyone,“Thank you, thank you, thank you! We never expected to reach $100,000, but thanks to your help and support, we’ve made it, and we’ll be doing everything we can to bring you a Wii U version as fast as possible.”

“I can’t describe how much this means to us. You’ve made it possible for us to live our dream, and in return we will give you the best game we can possibly make. We’ll be working as hard as we cane, day and night, to bring Popup Dungeon to you as quick as possible. Well, most of us will be working hard…”

“I truly hope our game will live up to all of your expectations.”

Being a port of the PC version, the developers hope to get the release out sometime in 2015 at the earliest. It will be an eShop release with some bonus features exclusive to the Wii U.
