Ever Oasis director shares new details and concept art for the actual oasis

Ever Oasis director Koichi Ishii is back with a new blog post. This time around, he goes over the actual oasis by sharing new details and concept art.
In the past, the desert world Vistrahda used to be lush green with lots of oases, and was brimming with life. However, due to the appearance of Chaos, the desert animals turned into Chaos Monsters, plants could no longer be raised, and the oases around the world necame reduced. Right now only a few oases and Beastmen settlements remain.
Those who do not live in either oases or settlements are traveling in the harsh and dangerous deserts. They have to endure scorching heat in day and hide themselves from violent Chaos Monsters in night, and they sleep in caves.
These people continue to travel because they are searching for a land where they can live safely for a long time. They believe such land exists somewhere, which is why they never stop crossing through deserts, caves and mountains.
Once travelers hear of the rumor of a newly established oasis, they will surely go to visit your oasis. These are the features of the oasis introduced when the travelers come to visit it.
Entrance
The entrance gate is made of large leaves. The surroundings of the oasis are covered by fences made of circling plants, so travelers can only get in from this entrance.
The fence is also made of big Sage leaves, and their roots go deep into the underground. The Sage plant is said to have powers of purification and demon repellent, so Chaos is prevented from entering the oasis.
After entering the gate and climbing a slope, a beautiful big tree is shown at front. This is the big tree raised from the protagonist’s seed, and becomes the source of the power that protects the oasis. A rainbow always forms around the big tree – its brightness covers the whole oasis area and protects it from Chaos. The rainbow is also visible at night, so it can also serve as a lighthouse to guide travelers towards it.
A large spring of water forms on the root of the big tree, and Bloom Booths are lined up on the main street connecting the oasis entrance and the big tree. The bright voices of people in the street calm the feelings of travelers, and the sweet scent of food that would be very rare in the desert will stimulate their stomach.
Fountain Plaza
The first thing people will see when first entering the oasis area is the Fountain Plaza. For travelers who have long wandered in the desert, this place is like a miracle since it has precious water gushing out. The humid atmosphere gives moist to their bodies and hearts, and offers them relief and delight. However, they are not allowed to instantly use the water. Instead they have to first rinse their mouth and wash their hands so that the oasis doesn’t get littered by outside dirt.
After a long time wandering in the desert, not only the body will just lose water, but the heart will also get fatigued and weakened. And a weak heart will make it easier to get captured by Chaos. That’s why water is a very important aspect in this world.
Travelers will throw Aqua Gems into the fountain as a way of saying thanks, and also to hope for a sustained maintenance of the oasis.
The oasis has not only a fountain around the big tree, but there is also a circulation of water underground as well, which makes the place a power spot that is cooler than the outside deserts. When the oasis grows, the water surface will become more glittering, allowing people to see Wisps, the light fairies.
Peddlers normally roam around the desert, but they may also stop by the Fountain Plaza and open tents to prepare their shops. They sell precious things like plant seeds and weapons, and they can also trade items. They have boats to travel on the desert sea, and they visit settlements and oases to trade specialties of each regions. They will especially aim for bustling oases for the profit.
Main Street
Past the Fountain Plaza is the Main Street, the most crowded place in the oasis where a lot of Bloom Booths are lined up. Ishii also posted in the blog a concept image of the oasis he drew while thinking about the activities of the people there. The oasis is really the place he’d like to form, the place where people are living strongly in the middle of a desert.
Because people of the oasis have endured the harsh life of a desert, they do not seek individualistic gains, but instead work together and help each other to protect this happy place and time. The oasis is a place where people can forget about the thirst and fright outside, smile and have fun with their lives. And you have the task to create, protect and raise it.
