Zelda: Wind Waker HD

Nintendo enters the HD era.

Zelda: Wind Waker HD

Figured we should have a new topic for this and keep talk to the new Zelda in that other thread.

Was anyone surprised by the announcement? In a way, I kind of was. Remakes are such a logical thing for Nintendo to do, yet they really haven't done much in this area over the years.

Wind Waker HD's visuals are a bit controversial. Some people just don't like the look. Personally, I'm pleased that Nintendo is trying out something new, but I'd like to see it in motion.

I like how detailed the new look is, and how the lighting affects work. I do think that the character models could look more cell shaded though. Also I feel that the final model will look better.

Wind Waker is my favorite Zelda design so I'm very happy this is getting an HD release. I think the visuals look great. Just some tweaks and it'll be perfect. I wonder if the Tingle Tuner will be updated using the 3DS. I remember having fun with that with my friend on the GCN.

I don't get the complaints about the visuals, I think it looks absolutley stunning. I do agree with pie about the cell shading though. I never finished Wind Waker due to having other games to play at the time so this remake is great news for me :P

Also: No Tingle. Just no D:

The game looks outstanding. And just in pictures. Can't wait to see it in action. A sure buy.
