Zen Studios VP of marketing & public relations Mel Kirk is high on the company's experience in making Zen Pinball 2 for the Wii U eShop.

Kirk praised Nintendo for its support, noting "we really could not have asked for more support from them." On the whole, the entire experience has been "extremely positive", and Kirk believes "the doors are wide open for other small studios to bring games to the Wii U."

Kirk's comments in full:

"We have experienced the same challenges that are presented on any new platform or device. Nintendo’s support has been excellent, we really could not have asked for more support from them. Overall, it has been an extremely positive experience and I think the doors are wide open for other small studios to bring games to the Wii U. This is an amazing development for Nintendo; huge, positive changes have been made since the days of WiiWare."

In short, the trailers give you a good sense but does not fully convey how fun and gorgeous this game plays and looks on the Wii U. It felt like the speed and power of a next-gen game with the charm and and nostalgia of a Super Nintendo Top-down 3/4 view game you somehow never played. This game is the one out of all the demos that proved to me that Wii U is a very capable next-gen system with a ton of potential - and this was just a demo.
