Jaleco could be no more. Kotaku attempted to contact the company's Tokyo office today, but there was no answer. A recording noted that the service was "no longer in service." The blog of Jaleco president Takayasu Katou is also nowhere to be found online.
Game Yarou acquired Jaleco in 2009, though it continued to work on games. No website updates have been posted since 2011.
Jaleco delivered the promising but ultra-disappointing Kizuna for Wii. The company has been around since the early days of gaming with titles such as Bases Loaded for the NES.
