Hello! I wanted to say hello, introduce myself, and say thank you for such a great forum and website.
My 1st NIntendo system was the original NES back in 1985. Truly one of the best Christmas presents I ever got in my life. I never did wind up using ROB too much... can't imagine why... but I was thrilled with Super Mario Bros. I've been loyal Mario and Nintendo fan ever since.
I've owned every console, handheld and otherwise, with the exception of the Virtual Boy. I don't think I even knew anyone who had one at the time. I love playing new titles in franchises I've been raised with, but I always find myself going back to the original 8 and 16-bit classics. Those games are timeless to me. Still endlessly fun =)
I'm a huge Legend of Zelda fan. There's not much merchandise out there for my beloved series but I'm always writing letters of encouragement to Nintendo when they do something cool (like the 25th anniversary Club Nintendo set). Here's a short list of my all-time favorite Nintendo classics:
Super Mario Bros. 3
Zelda: A Link to the Past
Mega Man 3
Zelda: Ocarina of Time
And those are just a few that sprang to mind. I could go on and on with the awesome titles but those are some I always come back to.
So I'm 33. I'm sitting here with resting a drink on a Super Mario Question block coaster, several Nintendo posters on the wall to my right and a clay Bomb-omb staring at me from beneath my computer screen. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
It's dangerous to go alone!
