I think it looks cool haha. And the fact that the can afford to get the original actors like Christian Bale kind of gives me higher hopes for this.

Also, looks like the finally resurrected Heath Ledger. Yay science.

You didnt knew what Life is Beautiful was about? I can imagine your tears

Anyway, I remember that I really wanted to see Paranorman, but it was in cinemas for a day. Seriously.

Literally no clue what Life Is Beautiful was about, just that it's an "old classic". No idea what year it played in haha.

Paranorman's definitely a rent/Netflix stream. Not sure if buy; I only buy stuff I can watch over and over again, like LOTR, Matrix, Eternal Sunshine, V For Vendetta, Fight Club, Kill Bill, etc

Really good! Of course, as far as Pixar goes, this disappoints just the tiniest bit in its predictability. But such fun characters. Up there with Paranorman as the best animated films of 2012.

Brave is amazing, I really like it. Pixar is just awesome.

I am scheduled to watch Samurai X (Rurouni Kenshin) live action movie tomorrow! Can't wait to see it. I heard great impressions from colleagues and I hope it stays true to its source material.

A lot of people are in love with the Man of Steel trailer apparently. I honestly hadn't even heard much about it today. That just goes to show how much I pay attention to movies!

I never had much an interest in Superman either but I like all Superhero movies so I'd totes check it out. Though I'm surprised they haven't upgraded his outfit. Looks kind of goofy this day and age. Maybe it'll grow on me though.

Anyhoo, movies I saw the passed week or so:

Brave - Good movie, I really loved the animation but like everyone else said, it was predictable and "brave" was kind of a misleading title and made me think it was going to be an adventurey movie but it was something much simpler. I enjoyed it either way though.

ParaNorman - Great movie! Loved the humor, animation, story, social statement.

Vampire D - fluid animation, lot of interesting characters, though sappy love story was kind of a turn-off for me. Better fights would have been appreciated too.

Akira - I actually didn't finish this one but it has an interesting story and great animation. Though I don't feel compelled to finish it. When there's no main character (that I care about) as the focal point, it sort of makes me not care about the story.

Casshern (the Japanese live action movie) - I couldn't finish this either but I really loved the part with him fighting a bunch of robots. Though again, this movie couldn't draw me in because I don't care for the main character. It has an overly serious tone and it's way too preachy with the anti-war thing. The main story was really weird, I honestly don't know what to think of it or what it was supposed to symbolize.

Pokemon Kyurem Vs. The Sword of Justice - As far as story goes, it's Pokemon. Don't expect much. What really got me was the animation. The quality of Pokemon films has really gone up since the first one, it's really incredible. And seeing a small little pony shooting water out of his hooves and using it as jet hooves to fly around and fight a giant dragon is preeeeetty badass. I liked it.

Amazing Spider-Man - Pretty hilarious and I loved the action. I love how Spider-Man is just a complete dick in the one scene with that criminal and constantly shoots webs at him, at one point, pretending to sneeze webs at him.

Yeah Spider-Man is supposed to be a smart-ass. So happy they kept that in. You've seen quite a lot of films! I still need to see Akira



I make an effort not to watch any unoriginal romantic comedies, so when one with an original concept shows up I'm much more inclined to watch it. While nowhere near the level of Eternal Sunshine, this is still really good fun. It just never takes the concept to the depths of Being John Malkovich or aforementioned Eternal Sunshine. Was not expecting the male lead to be the way he was, which made the last few minutes of the film a bit far-fetched.

Also: cannot friggin' wait for Django Unchained
