So I subscirbed to Netflix the other week, don't know if it's worth it cause I don't have time for movies. But it is relaxing to lay back and watch movies on the Wii.

Ah let me bump this thread to ask if any of you guys use After Effects? Or create original videos, specifically Kinetic Typography vids? I saw some amazing videos at Vimeo and Youtube and I thought I wanted to try.

Nope. Never heard of it until you mentioned it. About as far as I've gone into video making is using Sony Vegas to make youtube poops XD

I have some experience with After Effects. I haven't done kinetic type stuff but I know what it is. I'm honestly really sick of them at this point. At first, it was really cool, but everybody jumped on it like a pack of jackals and drove the concept into the ground.

Aye, that's why I chose Vimeo for great stuff. However, Youtube has Jonathan Coulton's Shop Vac. It really is visually appealing, made me want to try it.

There's this fuss over the internet about a guy named Phil Fish, creator of unreleased game Fez, who commented about japanese games in a GDC forum.

GDC: Japanese dev mocked 'your games suck'

He was asked for his opinion of modern Japanese games and he answered "your games just suck". WTF? It was a dick move and the question should've been answered in a more professional way since they're on a public forum. I feel pretty bad about the Japanese developer, s/he asked Fish politely and was answered very poorly. I don't know if his action warrants people to boycott his game but he deserves to be called out. Sweeping generalizations? Really? Ethnocentric statements? But your game is basically inspired by Japanese games. Ugh. I should stop now, still pretty disappointing hearing it from an indie developer who hasn't proven anything yet.

What an ass. Indie developers are sure climbing up their own ass, just a few days ago I saw Team Meat's announcement they were too lazy to put game controller support in the Mac version of Super Meat Boy. If you've ever played that game, you know it constantly reminds you of how game controllers are superior.

Was anyone keeping track of Sony's Game Paradise event? It was pretty much a disaster. It wasn't even a presentation. Sony just uploaded a bunch of clips to YouTube, had developers tease games for Vita, and that was it.

I don't know if I'd call it a disaster since it pretty much sold me on the Vita. If Persona 4 and Phantasy Star Online 2 ever make it over here I'll be all over that.

I found the hype funny. Nintendo probably did it better. However, PSO2 cross platform play was pretty impressive.
