Feedback needed

Since you guys are the ones who really power Nintendo Everything, I feel like feedback is something that's very important for the growth of the site. Also, before I go ahead with anything major, I believe it's necessary to hear what you guys have to say.

With that said, a new type of advertising opportunity was presented to me. It's an offer from our main advertising provider. Basically, if we go through with it, a short video ad would sometimes play before you watch something on the site. Here are the benefits:

- We wouldn't need to host the videos ourselves, thus saving bandwidth and space on the server
- Unlike our current video player, you will be able to embed/share videos with others
- An ad wouldn't play ALL the time
- It could provide the site with a bit of additional revenue, which always help to maintain the site, etc.

Like I said, I'd really like to know what you guys think about this. I'd rather not go through with this unless I have your support!

I say go for it!

As lame as video ads are, if you click it, the ad will stop and the video will play Also, they are pretty short.

If you think the Pros are good enough, do it!

If you get money, do it!

Well, I don't think the video will stop actually if you click the ad. But yeah, the ads are pretty short. They're about 15-30 seconds each.

I think Gametrailers does a similar thing, and I never found that to be too annoying. Considering the site doesn't really have any other kind of ads it sounds like a good idea.

I say go for it. Nobody LOVES ads, but I can't imagine any of us are gonna be griping about it when it gets you some always needed monies.

Just so you guys know, we did indeed go through with the new video player. Started using it yesterday. So far, it looks like ads don't play every time you view a video.
