Nintendo sold 736,000 physical Switch games last month. Splatoon sold 332,000 physical copies, which means all other Switch games sold 404,000 physical copies. Seeing as how well Zelda BOTW and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe are performing, they easily sold another 100,000+ physical copies each.

NIntendo sold 384,000 physical 3DS games last month, which represents a 49.2% YoY decline compared to July 2016, when Nintendo sold 756,000 physical 3DS games. July 2016 was the height of the Pokemon Go phenonenon, when Pokemon X/Y and OR/AS received a huge sales boost and sold a combined total of 250,000+ physical copies.

I find this kinda funny, since in the “The best-selling games over the last 12 months” part only Zelda is the one with no digital sales included.

I’m sorry but it sickens me to see that 1-2 Switch, Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers, and Cars 3: Driven to Win are on the top selling list.

Do you want some stomach medicine?

What did you expect, the Switch doesn’t have that many games yet, so if you make a long list, there will be some ”lesser” titles on it as well

      • Ardisan

There is around 65+ games that were released at the time of July. I have around 21+ games that I believe should have sold better but that’s just me.

I’m amazed Fate/Extella made it into the top 10 though, surpassing Just Dance.

It’s sad to see that games like Ever Oasis and Fire Emblem Echoes haven’t surpassed Mario Kart 7 or Super Smash Bros. They might be popular games but they’re also older. I wish these newer games were selling better.

    • Tlink7

How did you ever expect those two games to beat franchise juggernauts like Mario Kart and Smash? xD

      • Supporter

Yeah, but those are older games. I’d hope when these two games came out as brand-new titles over 3-6 year old games, they’d sell better.

What amuse me is that in the other platforms they count the digital sales for the games in the BigN never, even digital only games that arent from nintendo. Why is that?

    • Because Nintendo doesn’t share digital numbers?
