Kirby classic returns for the Nintendo DS & DSi this Summer – Kirby Super Star Ultra!
9th July 2009 – Run, float and fight your way through Kirby’s adventures as Kirby Super Star Ultra heads to the Nintendo DS & Nintendo DSi across Europe on 18th September 2009. Not only do you have the opportunity to try out all the modes and adventures, but there are also three new Touch Screen-controlled mini-games that you can play with up to three friends via Nintendo DS Download Play.
Kirby Super Star Ultra is a remake of one of the most beloved Kirby games of all time – the 1996 classic, ‘Kirby’s Fun Pak’. On top of an array of new adventures, the modes found in the original Super NES game are all here but this time with newly added fully rendered movie scenes and updated graphics.
Kirby Super Star Ultra remains faithful to the original Kirby gameplay – he walks, runs, and floats through the levels, gobbling up enemies to nab their abilities, and ultimately fighting the bosses. However, on top of his usual method of copying foes, Kirby can also transform any abilities he picks up into a helper. Helpers fight alongside him and can be controlled by the computer or by one of your friends via Nintendo DS Wireless Play. In the Helper to Hero mode, players can even become Helpers themselves!
Fight, float and sprint your way through a variety of games, such as Spring Breeze, Gourmet Race, The Great Cave Offensive, Revenge of Meta Knight and Milky Way Wishes – unlocking additional amazing mini-games as you go. All the new Touch Screen-controlled mini-games can be played with up to three friends via Nintendo DS Download Play – Kirby Card Swipe, Kirby on the Draw and Snack Tracks. Plus there are two nostalgic mini-games with classic controls, for fans of the original Kirby to re-live the magic!
Whether you’re racing King Dedede for food, fighting Dyna Blade, venturing out as Meta Knight or strategising your battle plans for Wham Bam Jewel, there will never be a dull moment – so get ready for Kirby Super Star Ultra launching for Nintendo DS & Nintendo DSi across Europe on 18th September 2009.
