SEGA is developing a new entry in the Mario & Sonic series. As was announced during today’s Nintendo Direct, Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games is heading to both Wii U and 3DS.

Check out some footage below:

    M. Bison: YES!!!!!!

  • Exposer

You have Mario and Sonic…What you decide to do (besides Smash)? This…Where is my Mario and Sonic platform crossover?

  • Kangaroo

    The deadly six are playable…

    • A simple Garfield fan

      I bet Zazz’s actually a boss.

  • saltypop

    DK looks like a shrimp.

  • Logan Wayman

    For new characters I see:
    -Nabbit
    -Diddy Kong
    -Rouge
    -Jet the Hawk
    -Zazz
    -Birdo
    -King Bob-Omb

I’ll consider buying this if Rosalina is confirmed playable and amiibo functionality is confirmed.

Well…I was just taking about how Nintendo platforms lack sports games (amidst the confirmation that FIFA will be skipping all Nintendo platforms). Looks like Nintendo has a plan to combat that change.

  • Leonel

Makes me wonder if they will add amiibo support. It be cool to see if we can add some type of content with the amiibo

I really dug the last game. I hope this one has an unlock system like it where you complete achievements to unlock new gear, equipment, costumes, and music.
