The shot above is likely from a rough version of the game, but it’s still neat to look at. It shows what potentially may be Sonic Boom’s HUD, camera angle, etc.

Really looking forward to this game. So glad Sega is going all out for the Wii U.

    DX11 Profile 32Bit Medspec.

Hey Square Enix, i got something you guys might be interested in taking a look at.

So DX11 is also being used with this game IN ADDITION to Crytek? Now SE REALLY has zero excuse to NOT port FFXV or KH3 to WiiU… except for confidence that it can turn a profit on Nintendo hardware, which NIntendo has to do.

DX11 is not an issue in terms of 3rd parties not bring games to the Wii U. The issue is that all current-gen games that are not Wii U exclusives are being built with x86 architecture in mind which means that developers would have have to build a separate version for the Wii U from scratch, or heavily optimize the code to work with PPc and that is not a easy thing to do. If the Wii U was selling as good as the PS4, then developers would have no choice but to do it. However since the Wii U is selling like crap, it is disadvantageous for a studio to invest so much in something that may not bring a profit at all.

You are right that it is Nintendo that has to fix this. The only way I can think of is for them to create a division that can work with any 3rd party willing to develop for the Wii U that can simultaneously develop a Wii U version from the ground up so that studios would not have to focus on both. That way the Wii U version of a multiplat can look just as good if not BETTER than other versions.

By the way, this is something Nintendo PROMISED to do at the beginning.

Yes, and I hope they can pull it off.

That blatant lie is just another evidence they don’t want to support the console. They didn’t even bothered in localizing Dragon Quest X. If someones question them, they will just come up with another lie/ridiculous excuse.

      • Jon Turner

Actually, no. SE didn’t really say that DX11 couldn’t run on WiiU. What REALLY happened was that some guy from GameTrailers took the translation the wrong way and made the assumption. There’s a video from Playeressence that proves that it’s false. Take a look:

That was all a lie. The truth is we don’t know WHAT SE is doing and to say they have no interest in WiiU is premature. I’d rather wait and see what happens. For all we know they could be in talks. I’d rather give the benefit of the doubt.

    That 15fps worries me.

    • D2K

      What 15fps?

      • skinwhilder

Look the picture, there’s a 15fps on the right side.

        But it’s a alpha version i think…

I doubt it’s of any concern. Game has a lot of work let to be done

        • Kaetsu

pffffft it’s obviously 150 fps duh! No but seriously this game has lot’s of time before it releases and considering this is probably running on a PC I highly doubt it’s running at 15 fps. I don’t even think any Wii U games run at 15fps so don’t worry about it.
