VG Tech has put together a video comparing Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy’s frame rate across all platforms, including Switch. We have it below.

We’ll likely have a better idea as to how Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy holds up on Switch in the near future, but VG Tech states that it runs at 720p when docked and roughly 853×480 in portable mode. When playing in handheld form, the game apparently runs a bit better, though can still occasionally drop below 30 frames per second.

Freedom Planet

XSEED hosted a live stream on Friday, and showcased some of the direct-feed footage from Freedom Planet on Switch. The recording below has over an hour of footage.

Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?!

A few months ago, Rising Star Games announced plans to bring the Holy Potatoes! trilogy to Switch. The first game, Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?!, is arriving on Switch next week. That’s according to a new listing on the eShop.

We have the following overview and trailer for Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?!:

Nintendo eShop

Nintendo has started to populate its maintenance schedule for the coming week. Thus far, all of the company’s digital shops and purchasing on Nintendo Game Store will be impacted.

Here’s the current schedule:

Trials Rising

Ubisoft recently issued a video in which Trials Rising producer Mikko Lindholm takes viewers through all the new features, modes, and crashes the new game showed off at E3 2018. See it below.

The latest issue of Famitsu has shared a listing of the top 30 best-selling games in Japan for the month of May 2018. You can check out the full results below, including debut digital sales for Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.

Shuntaro Furukawa

After Shuntaro Furukawa was officially named Nintendo’s next president this week, the company’s CSR Report was updated. Included with that was a message from Furukawa himself.

As part of Nintendo’s “Management Policy”, a second note from Furukawa was shared. This one is a bit longer and also officially in English. You can read it in full below.

In a recent issue of Famitsu, the Japanese magazine published a pretty lengthy interview with Pokemon president Tsunekazu Ishihara. Ishihara had plenty to say about Pokemon: Let’s Go: Pikachu and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee as well as the 2019 entry, the Poke Ball Plus, Pokemon GO, and more.

We’ve gone ahead and prepared a full translation of Famitsu’s interview. Read the full discussion with Ishihara below.

With a new Smash Bros. game comes new amiibo. Ridley, Inkling, and Daisy were previously confirmed to be getting figures. They won’t be the only ones, however.

Nintendo has confirmed that amiibo are planned for other returning fighters. Ice Climbers and Pichu have been specifically named. We should eventually be seeing the likes of Young Link, Wolf, and hopefully Snake among others.

During E3, Nintendo and Square Enix added a new demo to the eShop that lets you play through three full hours.

How many of you have had a chance to play through the new demo? Did it sell you on the game? Perhaps you were already sold after seeing the initial reveal last year or trying the previous demo? Let us know how you’re feeling about Octopath Traveler in the comments below.
