Nintendo and DeNA presentation – translated Q&A now live
Posted 9 years ago by Brian in General Nintendo, Mobile, News, Switch | 1 Comment
Nintendo held a presentation with DeNA last week to announce a partnership between the two companies. Towards the end, Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata and DeNA president Isao Moriyasu fielded questions from attendees. The entire Q&A is now live, and you can find it right here.
I won’t be breaking down the Q&A into various excerpts per usual, as we covered it quite a bit last week (in both video and summary form). There also isn’t a whole lot of information that we haven’t already covered. Still, it might be worth a read for some of you!

Rumor: Europe getting Puzzle & Dragons package on May 8, Splatoon on May 29, Yoshi’s Woolly World on June 26
Posted 9 years ago by Brian in 3DS, Rumors, Wii U | 8 Comments
Update: Splatoon has now been changed to “May” on the site. Yoshi’s Woolly World and the Puzzle & Dragons package are listed for “2015”. Hmmm…
Nintendo UK’s press site may have outed launch dates for Puzzle & Dragons Z + Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition, Splatoon, and Yoshi’s Woolly World. According to the site, the three releases are slated for May 8, May 29, and June 26 respectively. Each one could very well be errors – or perhaps they’re spot on. It’s difficult to say at the moment.
For what it’s worth, World of Games (a retailer in Switzerland) lists Yoshi’s Woolly World for release on June 26 as well. You may also remember that when rumors about potential amiibo support for Splatoon surfaced, the “leak” came from a retailer that listed the title for May 29.
We’ll keep you updated if we hear anything concrete!

Another week, another cancelled podcast
Posted 9 years ago by Austin in Site updates | 5 Comments
Alas, we knew that being forced to do podcasts over Skype would make things more difficult, but nobody could have anticipated the antagonizing role that American corporation Comcast would play in all of it. Because of their unreliable network services in the Albaquerki, New Mexico area, we’ve been forced to cancel this week’s episode of “Here’s a Podcast”. It’s a shame really, because I was looking forward to discussing the finale of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and how it relates to Zelda Wii U, and various comments Eiji Aonuma has made about the Zelda series in the past.
Alas, not all good things were meant to come on a weekly schedule. Thanks for your understanding! Send us an email to [email protected] with questions, thoughts, comments, or answer our question of the week: How impactful do you feel the ending to A Link to the Past is compared to other Zelda games?

Latest 3DS update enables browser breakout clone in western New 3DS systems
Posted 9 years ago by Brian in New Nintendo 3DS, News | 1 Comment
When the New 3DS launched in Japan last year, it came with a small (but neat) mini-game accessible via the web browser. It’s essentially a breakout clone. After applying today’s 3DS update, people in overseas territories should be able to try out the game as well.
Simply boot up the browser and visit the “New Tab” page. Then tap out the rhythm of the first notes of the Super Mario Bros. level music, and “STAGE SELECT” will appear. It’s now possible to hit a URL made out of bricks.
