System: Wii U (eShop)
Release date: February 4, 2016
Developer: Rainy Night Creations

The 3D platforming and collectathon style of game is one that hasn’t been very prevalent since the days of the Nintendo 64. However, fans of old-school 3D platformers have wanted to see a revival of these experiences and its seems as though their cries are now being heard by the many studios out there. One indie developer named Rainy Night Creations strove to create a game that followed in the footsteps of the giants that were Super Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie in an attempt to bring its new title, FreezeME, into the genre. However, unlike the platformer’s clear inspirations, FreezeME has some seriously glaring issues at its core.

Rainy Night Creations’ 3D platformer FreezeME came to the North American Wii U eShop today. If you download it, you’ll need 904.7MB of free space. That amounts drops to 868MB once installed.

3D platformer FreezeME will be hitting the North American Wii U eShop later today. You can get a look at the game in the video below.

Rainy Night Creations confirmed via its Facebook page that FreezeME is arriving on the North American Wii U eShop next week. It can be purchased and downloaded on the eShop starting on February 4.

If you purchase FreezeME during its launch week, you’ll only need to pay $9.99. It’ll go up to the normal $13.99 asking price after this period.

FreezeME is still coming to Europe as well. All that’s left for PAL regions is ratings in different territories.

FreezeME debuted on PC last month, but Rainy Night Creations has still been tinkering away on the Wii U version. And fortunately, it sounds like it’s not too far off. The indie developer confirmed on Twitter today that it’s been approved for the eShop, so the final step is determining a release date.

Here’s the latest trailer for FreezeME:

FreezeME hit Steam last month, but we’re still waiting on the Wii U version to launch. The good news is that the eShop version is still in the cards, and it could come soon. There’s just no release at the moment. We’ll just need to be patient!

The official FreezeME Twitter account posted the following earlier today:
