Kirby’s ability to inhale enemies is a staple of the series. In Kirby’s Epic Yarn, however, this isn’t possible. Now that the game has returned on 3DS, producer Etsunobu Ebisu has revisited the subject.

Ebisu told Kotaku the following in a new interview when asked why Kirby’s signature move is missing:

Nintendo has published a new Japanese trailer for Yoshi’s Crafted World ahead of its launch this month. You can watch it below.

After first appearing on Wii many years ago, Kirby’s Epic Yarn is now making its way to 3DS this week. View a video comparing the graphics of both below.

Nintendo has opened a new North American teaser site for Yoshi’s Crafted World. You can access it here. The page has various media including videos, information about the game, and more. 

Yoshi’s Crafted World launches on March 29. The full site should be opening soon.

Nintendo will be releasing Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn on 3DS next month. If you’re interested in owning the game digitally, the pre-load option on the eShop is now available.

Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn takes up 11,665 blocks of space. That amounts to 1.42GB.

Kirby’s Extra Epic launches physically and digitally for 3DS on March 8.

Digital Foundry has taken an early look at Yoshi’s Crafted World to check in on the game from a technical standpoint. It’s particularly noteworthy since this is an Unreal Engine 4 release.

Like a number of other Switch titles we’ve seen, Yoshi’s Crafted World has a dynamic resolution. When docked, expect resolutions of around 576p and 675p. Portable mode reduces things further to roughly 396p and 495p. These numbers may lower further or increase depending on what’s happening on screen.

Close to a decade after it debuted on Wii, Nintendo is bringing back Kirby’s Epic Yarn on 3DS. However, it’s not just a simple port. For the most part, new elements have been added to the game.
