Next Thursday, Ratalakia Games will be publishing League of Evil on the Switch eShop. We have the official launch trailer below.

League of Evil appears to be launching on Switch very soon. The North American eShop has updated, and currently shows an August 31 release date and $7.99 price point. It takes up 55MB.

League of Evil is an action game. You’ll use acrobatic skills to punch your way through levels filled with deadly traps and defeat your enemies, all while going for a high score.

One of the hooks for League of Evil is the ability to create and share levels with other players. Even better, level sharing works across all platforms. The base game comes with 140 levels packed in divided into four chapters.

Update: We actually have some news about the Wii U version. Unfortunately, it has been cancelled.

Ratalaika Games has brought several games to Wii U and 3DS. Now the publisher is preparing its first title for Switch: League of Evil.

The news was teased on Twitter earlier today:

You may recall that League of Evil was announced last year for Wii U and 3DS. Those versions haven’t made it out yet, as Ratalaika said it took some time to acquire the license for cross-play between Nintendo platforms and PC. In February, League of Evil was said to be hitting Wii U and 3DS “a little bit later on in the year”. It’s unclear what the status is currently, but we should be getting this Switch version at the very least.

Ratalaika Games has been announcing new projects regularly, and the indie developer has now confirmed yet another game for Nintendo’s two platforms. In addition to PC, Ratalaika is porting League of Evil to Wii U and 3DS in partnership with Woblyware.

Here’s an overview:

League of Evil is an action game where you, as a bionic super agent take on the mission to defeat the League of Evil. Use your acrobatic skills to punch your way through levels filled with deadly traps and defeat your enemies. The world is counting on you!

In this new version we bring you new features such as new exclusive levels and a level editor, that will allow players to create and share their own levels! You can even share levels with players on other platforms as this function works between PC, Nintendo Wii U and 3DS.

A specific release date for League of Evil has not yet been announced.
