Level-5

With Yo-kai Watch 3 version 3.0 coming out today, Level-5 has prepared a couple of new commercials. Both are attached below.

During yesterday’s Nintendo Direct, Level-5 shared some news about Lady Layton.

To begin, the game is now known as Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaire’s Conspiracy. The official logo is above.

Other than that, Level-5 updated the game’s website. Access it here.

Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaire’s Conspiracy launches on July 20 in Japan.

Yesterday, Level-5 announced that The Snack World is finally releasing in Japan on July 13. The company is now beginning its promotional efforts, starting with the commercial below.

The previously-announced update for Yo-kai Watch 3 was said to be on track for this spring. Today, Level-5 announced that it’s launching very soon – this Friday in fact. Yo-kai Watch 3 will be updated to version 3.0.

The upcoming patch adds in a bunch of additional content. Players will have access to new Enma, quests, and yo-kai, along with new Dungeon and Guardians for the Busters Treasure Mode. Other features include fishing at the port town Nagisaki. All of the update details are located here.

When Level-5 announced Inazuma Eleven Ares last year, the company did so without announcing any platforms. But during the fourth Inazuma Walker live stream today, Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino finally shared some news.

Hino said that, in addition to 3DS, Inazuma Eleven Ares will be on some other platform. “It may also release on what you would call a higher quality game machine… perhaps,” Hino teased.

Switch could certainly be one possibility. With Inazuma Eleven Ares featuring toys and Nintendo’s new system having an NFC reader, a release on the new console would make sense.

You can watch the full, three-hour broadcast of Inazuma Walker below, which even includes trailers for The Snack World anime.

Level-5 has shared a brief update on the anime portion of its plans for The Snack World. The core game is still coming to 3DS, but word has been sent out that the CG anime series is kicking off on April 13.

OLM Digital is handling production while BS Japan is hosting The Snack World anime. New episodes will premiere on Thursdays at 7:25 PM local time. BS Japan will also air the anime on Saturdays at 6:30 AM.

The very first Professor Layton game debuted in Japan back on February 15, 2007. That’s right: the series is now ten years old.

In celebration of the milestone, Professor Layton now has its own Twitter account. You can keep track of any updates that may surface here.

Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino had some fun with Professor Layton earlier today. It looks like he held a special event in Japan to promote the anniversary – here are a couple of photos:

Professor Layton won’t have a new title this year, but the series as a whole will. Level-5 will be publishing Lady Layton on 3DS sometime in 2017.

Yo-kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits & Fleshy Souls has been out in America since last fall, but they were yet to arrive to Europe. Now we finally received confirmation that both versions of the game will be coming to the European countries on April 7, so mark your calendars. See the official boxarts above.
