Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime first debuted in 2015. A couple of years later, the game released on Switch as well.

Interestingly enough, despite arriving on the system much later, that’s when it had its biggest sales spike. Developer Asteroid Base also says that Switch achieved the most sales among all consoles.

The developer said in an anniversary feature this week:

Super Rare Games has announced the next release in its physical Switch collection. After previously hitting the eShop last October, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime will have a boxed version, the company has revealed exclusively to Nintendo Everything.

Only 3,000 copies of Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime – a co-op space shooter – will be produced. The Super Rare edition will include an exclusive sticker as well as three trading cards randomly selected from the five-card set. Developers Adam Winkels, Jamie Tucker and Matt Hammill have signed 125 of these cards.

Next week, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime will be hitting the Switch eShop. Check out some footage of the game below.

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, which was only just made known through last week’s Japanese Nintendo Direct, already has a release date. Developer Asteroid Base announced today that the launch will be taking place on October 3. Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime will cost $14.99.

In Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, you can expect frenzied co-op action as you switch back and forth between manning a spacecraft’s controls, weapons, and defenses against alien robots. If you’d prefer playing the campaign alone, you can do so with a trusty AI space dog or cat.

Two more indie games were revealed for Switch during today’s Japanese Nintendo Direct. Crypt of the Necrodancer and Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime. They’ll be out this winter and in October respectively.
