Nintendo Badge Arcade has introduced a new arm type in Japan. Pictured above is the Stick Arm, which has users holding down the button until it’s on the desired spot. Once released, the arm extends all the way down and pushes badges. We’ll have to see when this is added to the overseas version of Nintendo Badge Arcade.

Nintendo Badge Arcade has been down for a few hours of maintenance today. The downtime has ended, and a new update has been pushed out: version 1.3.1. It takes up 600 blocks of space.

The new version of Nintendo Badge Arcade can be grabbed from the eShop. Alternatively, you can just start the application itself.

Unfortunately, it’s not quite clear what’s new in Nintendo Badge Arcade. There are new badges today and you can participate in a fun little text adventure upon starting the app. You’ll get two free plays as well.

On Thursday, Nintendo Badge Arcade will be undergoing maintenance. The app will be unavailable between 6 AM ET / 3 AM PT up until 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT.

A SpotPass message states that an update will be going live following the maintenance period. This can be accessed by visiting the eShop or simply starting Nintendo Badge Arcade. More new badges will be added in as well.
