Crymachina review

System: Switch
Release date: October 24, 2023
Developer: FuRyu
Publisher: NIS America

Although not the biggest company out there, developer FuRyu has arguably made a little more of a name for themselves over recent years, bringing titles such as Monark and The Caligula Effect to the Switch with mixed reception. Crymachina is the latest game from the developer, an action RPG that acts as a sort of spiritual successor to their previous attempt at the genre, Crystar. Unfortunately, although Crymachina has a strong, well-developed narrative, its combat fails to make a lasting impression, making it another middling attempt that may be best avoided.

Crymachina demo

Crymachina is just on the horizon, and a new trailer for the game has just been released. Switch owners in North America and Europe can download it now.

The demo should let fans try out some early parts oft he game. It follows NIS America’s other Switch demos in that if you play the trial, save data can be transferred to the full release.

Eventually their work leads them to a mysterious set of ruins, and it is there that they find that they’ve perhaps stumbled upon the most daunting job yet. While Nayuta and Cygna start out hanging around for a simple summer vacation, a fateful encounter with the mysterious fairy Noi sparks a lot of questions and a lot of discovery. Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless launch trailer

To celebrate Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless arriving in the west, NIS America issued a new launch trailer. It’s the company’s final video for the strategy RPG.

Here’s an official overview with more details:

Disgaea 7 review

System: Switch
Release date: October 3, 2023
Developer: Nippon Ichi Software
Publisher: NIS America

Disgaea games have always been a bit overwhelming. Their nonsensical plots, zany casts, and seemingly impenetrable walls of systems upon systems that have stats going into the millions and damage into the quadrillions can make them seem unapproachable to newcomers at the best of times. Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless, the latest in the long-running series, shares the same foibles as its predecessors to varying degrees, but is by far the most accessible game in the series to date, and is an easy recommendation to make for anyone looking to sink their teeth into an experience that never takes itself too seriously but offers strategic depth easily on par with the best the genre has to offer.

The Legend of Legacy HD Remastered

Today, NIS America and FuRyu revealed that they’re bringing The Legend of Legacy HD Remastered to Switch. The game is expected in early 2024.

The Legend of Legacy originally launched on 3DS in 2015. The game features seven adventurers as they explore the mysterious land of Avalon while pursuing their own unique journeys.

We’ve got a ton of gameplay showing The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails on Switch. NIS America localized The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails for the west, and fans can now play through the RPG in English.
