Hogwarts Legacy sales

According to Warner Bros. Games, Hogwarts Legacy sales have surpassed 22 million copies worldwide.

It’s unclear how many of those sales are from Switch – especially given how that version launched at the end of 2023. However, based on recent eShop charts, U.S. data from Circana, and more, it seems to be doing very well on the platform.

Regarding the sales success for Hogwarts Legacy, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment president David Haddad told Variety:

Thanks to GamesIndustry, we have new insight into the UK gaming market for December 2023.

The outlet points out that Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Hogwarts Legacy did very well, with both seeing a big month-on-month increase. In fact, Mario saw its best month since it released in October.

Dave the Diver sales

Today, Mintrocket announced that Dave the Diver has sold over three million copies. That milestone accounts for both the Switch and PC versions combined worldwide.

Dave the Diver originally released in October 2022. The Switch version just followed the following October, so it’s only been available for a few months.

Hogwarts Legacy took home the top spot and was the best-selling physical game of the year. This is the first time in a decade that EA’s soccer / football title isn’t #1.

The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending December 23, 2023 is now available.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Hogwarts Legacy have been going back and forth between the second and third spots now, and that’s the case this time around as well. Super Mario Bros. ended up at the second spot and almost took home #1. EA Sports FC 24 ultimately took home the first position.

Switch three million Spain

Switch has reached a new sales milestone in Spain, as it’s now confirmed that the console has surpassed over three million units in the country.

We previously reported that Nintendo’s system sold over two million units in October 2021. It took about two years to add another million onto the total. The one million mark was reached by the end of 2019.
