Original (4/18): Sonic Origins had originally been announced last year as an HD compilation of past Sonic games, set to launch in 2022. However, Sega has been very quiet about the project since, leading to speculation of development issues, if not outright cancellation. It seems now that that may not be the case.

A recent Korean rating for the PC version game has just surfaced, giving it a “suitable for all ages” rating. Most importantly, this means a release of Sonic Origins is still in the cards, and could possibly happen sooner rather than later.

Two Point Campus delayed

Two Point Campus has been delayed and will no longer be meeting its original May 17, 2022 release date. Instead, the team has decided to move things back to August 9.

Mark Webley, the game’s director, said in a statement that it will be using the extra time “deliver the best possible game that can be enjoyed equally on all platforms.” He specifically mentioned optimization as a point of focus.

Two Point Campus

After announcing that it would come to Switch last year, SEGA and Two Point Studios have today revealed that Two Point Campus, a college simulation game that builds on the success of Two Point Hospital, will arrive on May 17, with pre-orders going live today.

Here’s an overview of the game:

sonic frontiers delayed

As it turns out, SEGA internally delayed Sonic Frontiers in order to improve the game’s quality.

That nugget of information was revealed during an investor Q&A held last month. Speaking about the upcoming game, SEGA explained:

Super Monkey Ball Adventure

One of the more unique entries in the Monkey Ball franchise was Super Monkey Ball Adventure. Rather than the arcade puzzle platforming the series is largely known for, the GameCube title focused on story and navigating the 3D world. It was also made by Traveller’s Tales rather than SEGA / Amusement Vision.

15 years after its release, director Paul Gardner has now reflected on Super Monkey Ball Adventure in an interview with Retro Gamer. Speaking with the magazine about the game’s reception, he said:

Sonic Frontiers voice cast

During a “Sonic Official” live stream earlier today, SEGA shared a tiny bit of extra information about Sonic Frontiers – including news regarding the game’s voice cast.

According to social media specialist Justin Thormann, the entire Sonic voice cast is returning for the upcoming Switch title. That means fans can expect to hear Roger Craig Smith as Sonic, Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails (who will also be playing the same role in the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie), Cindy Robinson as Amy, and Mike Pollock as Dr. Eggman.
