A number of new digital Switch games are out today, including De Mambo. Take a look at the official launch trailer below.

In Japan, De Mambo launched digitally for Switch last Thursday. The Dangerous Kitchen was originally hoping that it would be a worldwide launch, but the North American and European release was pushed back just slightly.

De Mambo is now on track to arrive in North America and Europe on July 13. The Dangerous Kitchen shared the news via the following brief tweet:

We’ll have to wait a bit longer for it in the west, but De Mambo is out now in Japan on the Switche Shop. View a launch trailer below.

De Mambo, Vaccine, and PHOTON³ have just both released on the Japanese Switch eShop, and file sizes are in for each. De Mambo requires 547MB of free space. Vaccine is 372MB, and PHOTON³ is 173MB.

There’s a little bit of uncertainty surrounding De Mambo’s release date on Switch. It was originally scheduled for this Thursday in all territories, but the official eShop listing now shows a date of July 6. We should be finding out pretty soon if the week delay is happening.

The Dangerous Kitchen will be putting out its new game De Mambo on the Switch eShop next Thursday. There’s lots of footage in the video below with an hour of gameplay.

De Mambo’s June 29 release date isn’t only for Japan. As it turns out, the game is seeing a worldwide launch in all regions for Switch.

The Dangerous Kitchen just tweeted out today’s news:

Switch will be the first platform to have De Mambo’s Survival Mode. The game will be playable at BitSummit in Japan this weekend.

Nintendo’s Japanese blog has dated two major indie games for Switch. Mighty Gunvolt Burst, which we just found out about this week, is up first on June 15. De Mambo will follow on June 29. Dates aren’t confirmed for the west yet, but they should be available at around the same time.

Other Switch eShop games are also lined up for the summer. These include Overcooked: Special Edition, Gonner, and Levels – Addictive Puzzle Game.

De Mambo is one of several indie titles slated for Switch. Get a look at the upcoming eShop game below, courtesy of Nintendo Life.

De Mambo was something that we found out about for Switch before the developer actually made an announcement. That changed today, with developer The Dangerous Kitchen making things official.

Even though the Nintendo release was just announced, De Mambo will be on Switch first. Doing so provides the team with “far more exposure than other platforms”.

The Dangerous Kitchen wrote in a blog post:

Nintendo approached us at Bitsummit 4 last year and after many laborious discussions about how much money we wanted to pay them to allow us to be on the (at that time) NX, they decided to not accept our fanboyish money and instead allow us entry into the Kingdom of leave-luck-to-Heaven.

The Switch is the perfect home for De Mambo, something that Nintendo themselves saw, and so we couldn’t let this once in a lifetime opportunity slip away— who else has their first game available in the launch period of a new console!? But, there is one caveat to all this. We are focusing on the Switch version first, before the other versions.
