Too Kind Studio

Pankapu is out on Steam, PS4 and Xbox One as of today. It is still coming to the Switch, but the release date has yet to be determined. Nonetheless, a new trailer has been presented, shown below.

Too Kind Studio was looking to bring Pankapu: The Dreamkeeper to Wii U following a successful Kickstarter campaign last year. However, those plans have now changed.

On Twitter, Too Kind Studio posted an image of Pankapu on Switch, hinting at an upcoming release on the new platform. The developer has since clarified that the Wii U version has been scrapped, and will now focus on Switch.

The tweet is as follows:

Pankapu: The Dreamkeeper reached its funding target on Kickstarter towards the very end of last year. The campaign included a Wii U stretch goal, but fell just shy of reaching it. However, Too Kind Studio has now confirmed its upcoming game for Nintendo’s console after combined Kickstarter and PayPal donations exceeded €55,000. We’ll be seeing it next year on Wii U unless something changes and it’s brought to NX instead (or both systems).

For those who haven’t heard of Pankapu: The Dreamkeeper previously, it’s a 2D action-platformer. You can get a better feel for the project in the video below.
