Here’s the official description:

Japan has had access to a manga based on Animal Crossing: New Horizons for about a year with two volumes available. Now thanks to Viz Media, an official English release is on the way.

The first volume, titled Deserted Island Diary, is on track for September 14 in the west. The Verge states that the manga “will focus on what the villagers residing on a deserted island are up to.”

Viz Media will be continuing to work on the Animal Crossing: New Horizons manga going forward, but there’s no news regarding a release date for future content just yet.

When Ask Iwata was announced for an English release a few months back, we heard that it was on track for Spring 2021. Viz Media has now set a final release date.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Kirby Manga Mania

Update (11/14): Pre-orders are now open. Amazon US has Kirby Manga Mania here and Amazon Canada has it here.

Original (10/16): Kirby Manga Mania is coming west, Viz Media has announced. A release is set for Summer 2021.

We don’t have too many details currently, but this appears to an English version of Kirby of the Stars: The Story of Dedede Who Lives in Pupupu. 25 volumes of the manga were originally produced for CoroCoro Comic. The series ran between 1995 and 2006.

Interestingly, Viz Media had originally announced plans to localize Kirby of the Stars: The Story of Dedede Who Lives in Pupupu over a decade ago. However, that never ended up happening. It’s unclear why the English version came to be and what’s changed since then, but it looks like the manga series will finally be appearing in North America.

Update (8/22): Ask Iwata is now up on Amazon Canada ($6.15 discount).

Update (7/27): Pre-orders are now live on Amazon.

Original (7/24): Last year, EarthBound creator Shigesato Itoi’s publishing company Hobonichi released a book in Japan dedicated to late Nintendo president Satoru Iwata. It went over Iwata’s life, featured interviews with the likes of Itoi and Miyamoto, and more.

Fortunately, that book is now officially confirmed for English release in the west. Viz Media has announced that Ask Iwata will handle publishing, and it will release in Spring 2021.

The book will be available in both print and through digital distribution.

Original (3/31): Super Mario Bros. Manga Mania isn’t Viz’s only Nintendo announcement for the day. The company has also announced The Legend of Zelda: Legendary Edition Boxset, a special package featuring all five volumes of The Legend of Zelda: Legendary Edition manga in a new hardcover format.

Here’s the official description:

Update (4/6): This is now up for pre-order on Amazon Canada. Meanwhile, for whatever reason, it’s now unavailable on Amazon US – we’ll let you know if that changes.

Original (3/31): The Super Mario-kun manga has been ongoing in Japan since 1991. While the series has never been localized into English previously, that’ll be changing this year.

Viz Media has announced that it will offer an English version under the name “Super Mario Bros. Manga Mania”. Rather than releasing individual volumes, it sounds like we’ll instead be receiving a highlights compilation.

Here’s an official description:

Update (7/7): This is now up for pre-order on Amazon here.

Original (7/5): Kirby: Art & Style Collection is coming west in Spring 2020, Viz Media has revealed. The announcement was made this week at Anime Expo 2019.

Originally, Kirby: Art & Style Collection came out in Japan in November 2017. Made to celebrate the series’ 25th anniversary, the hardcover collection has rare art and more.
