Animal Crossing: New Horizons – new details on the museum, camera, customization, more

A new batch of Animal Crossing: New Horizons are in from PAX East 2020, as the game is playable on the show floor this week. The latest information pertains to the museum, camera, customization, and more.
Here’s the full roundup of tidbits:
– The note-in-a-bottle feature will return to New Horizons
– It looks like you’ll be able to obtain items from the bottles that wash up on the shores
– Ex: a ‘DIY Recipe’ is given to the player through the bottle
– You’ll be able to purchase a custom phone case for your Nook Phone
– Blathers will require 15 total items in order to open up the island’s museum
– Kicks now sells bags and other accessories
– Messenger bags, a backpack, a cute crossbody purse, aerobics leggings, and more are seen in Kicks’ shop for the day
– New fish and snapping turtle
– Toggle function included to change the camera view
– The camera can be changed to more of a top-down view with a click of the right analog stick, similar to how it once always was on GameCube with the first Animal Crossing
– When idle, Tom Nook and Isabelle clean around the office
– Isabelle can be seen dusting a shelf
– Tom Nook also dusts a shelf
– The two colleagues are always keeping busy when you walk in, rather than just sitting there, as if waiting for your arrival
– A new furniture item includes door mats, specifically, welcome mats
– A new tab marked by a pen lets players customize “face paint” on their Villager
– They also have the option of choosing a “setting,” marked by a more feminine villager with a ponytail, and a more male-presenting icon
– While the usually-gendered customization options are open for anyone, this particular setting appears to be mandatory
