Animal Crossing: New Horizons version 1.2.0 patch notes

Nintendo has shared the official patch notes for Animal Crossing: New Horizons version 1.2.0, which was issued earlier tonight.
Unsurprisingly, the update covers much of what we’ve heard of previously. That means a couple of merchants will now appear, and seasonal events have been added.
The official patch notes are as follows:
General updates
- The following visiting merchants can now visit the island.
- Leif (gardening shop)
- Redd (Jolly Redd’s Treasure Trawler)
- Added seasonal events.
- Addressed issues to further ensure an enjoyable gaming experience.
We have more information about new seasonal events here. Also, while it’s not mentioned in the patch notes, the Bank of Nook has lowered its interest rate.
