Arena of Valor Switch – details on online play, exclusive mode, mobile tie-in event

Tencent has provided more details about next month’s launch for Arena of Valor on Switch.
First up, the 5v5 team-based game will allow fans to play anyone in the world at any time thanks to a global server. Players can play with each other regardless of the territory they’re located in or what eShop they obtained the game from.
Tencent also shares news about a couple of modes. Switch players will be able to try out Ranked mode as well as the exclusive new Motion Sensor Hook War Game mode, which can be played by swinging the Joy-Con.
Lastly, we have the following news for mobile players from Tencent:
For Arena of Valor’s loyal mobile players, Tencent plans to announce details for a ‘status match’ event after the Nintendo Switch launch that will reward mobile players who have played enough to unlock characters and transfer those rewards to their Nintendo Switch version. Details on this event will be released soon.
