Nintendo has gone live with pre-registration for Miitomo. Get involved by visiting the page here, clicking the “Pre-register” button, and then creating or logging in to your Nintendo Account.

All users who pre-register a Nintendo Account to Miitomo will automatically receive My Nintendo Platinum points. My Nintendo and Miitomo are both launching sometime next month.

Tuesday has arrived, and so has a Pokémon Shuffle update. The latest update is for both mobile and 3DS, bringing back Mew and adding in Beedrill and a Safari stage. The Beedrill stage is a speed challenge, with only 40 seconds for the player to catch the bug. The Safari stage, meanwhile, gives players a chance to catch Oddish, Gloom, Vileplume, Abra, Kadabra, Alakazam, and Tauros. The Beedrill and Safari stages will run until March 1st, while Mew will be around until the 8th.

A new video comparing the HD and non-HD versions of Twilight Princess has been posted from Gamexplain, this time focusing on the recent “Features” trailer. This video only shows the sections of the game that are in both versions, as the official trailer is partially devoted to new features such as amiibo and Hero Mode. The comparison can be seen below:

Yo-kai Sangokushi first trailer

Yo-kai Sangokushi, a spin-off strategy game in the Yo-kai Watch series, has gotten its first trailer. The game is currently set to release in Japan on April 2nd. The trailer can be seen below.

In an interview with The Worldfolio, Hajime Satomi, President and CEO of Sega Sammy Holdings Inc., stated that the previously announced Sonic the Hedgehog movie would release in 2018. First announced in 2014, the movie is being made by Sony Pictures and is planned to be a live-action/animation hybrid. This release window is the first statement about the film since its original announcement.

Indie studio Nnooo is set to release their previously announced endless shooter, “Blast ‘Em Bunnies”, on the 3DS eShop on March 10th. The game will cost $/€4.99. The game will also launch for PS4, Vita, and Xbox One around the same time.

Nnooo’s description of the game from their press release reads:

Blast ‘Em Bunnies pits you the player as a cute, cartoon bunny called Bang Bang who must defend your rabbit burrow, against an onslaught of evil bunnies. These bunnies have captured your offspring and one of them, the evil Throatslitter, is holding them hostage. Just how long can you and your little ‘uns survive? Grab your carrot rifle, watermelon machine gun, turnip mortar or runner bean laser and take them down! Shoot coins to collect them and spend them on new weapons, upgrades and ammo including sticky raspberries, heat seeking chilli seeds, shredding leek lasers or bouncing, splitting, exploding pumpkin bombs!

The game will launch with purchasable extra content, such as arenas and skins. Details are below:

5 Arena Packs: US$/€ 1.99 each. Each one contains a new arena, day/night system and 3 new music tracks
5 Skin Packs: US$/€ 2.99 each. Each one contains 21 new skins (3 for each bunny type)

Tuesday’s here, and so are more battles in Pokémon Shuffle. This week adds three new challenges: Diancie and Mega Abomasnow for both 3DS and mobile versions, and Mega Blastoise for the mobile version.

Diancie is an Escalation battle that runs until February 23rd. The Mega Abomasnow and Mega Blastoise battles will each run until February 16th. Both of these are competitive, so only top players will get some of the rewards.

For Mega Blastoise, the top 20,000 players will get a Mega Speedup, and the top 80,000 will get a Blastoisinite. The top 120,000 will get 2 Attack Powers, and anyone else who participates will get a single Attack Power.

The Mega Abomasnow prizes vary by region. A Mega Speedup will be given to the top 5,000 players in Japan, 3,700 in North America, and 2,500 in Europe. The Abomasnowite will be given to the top 50,000 in Japan, 19,000 in North America, and 12,000 in Europe. Two Attack Powers will be given to the top 70,000 in Japan, 26,000 in North America, and 17,000 in Europe. All other participants will get an Attack Power.
