Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night sequel “in very early planning stages”, team still working on first game

A few days ago, we heard that a Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night sequel was happening. The team has now come forward officially to confirm the news.
The new game is said to be in the “very early planning stages”. Currently, the team is focusing on finishing up content for the first Bloodstained.
The official Twitter account shared the following:
“Regarding recent reports, 505 Games and Artplay are in very early planning stages for a Bloodstained sequel. However, current development resources are focused on completing Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night’s upcoming content. We have a lot planned for you.”
Creator Koji Igarashi added the following:
“Currently at ArtPlay, we are in the stages of working on the plot centered around our previous title’s director Shutaro. Right now, we are focusing on the rest of the contents for Ritual of the Night so please look forward to the upcoming information.”
