Man, you guys have no idea how much I played this game when it was out on the Game Boy. It was probably my most-played title for the system. Can’t wait to download this when it comes to North America.

As much as I try to avoid spoilers it looks like I’m stuck seeing at least this one, eh? Many people have reported in saying that they experienced a game-breaking bug when attempting a certain quest in Skyward Sword, and now Nintendo has confirmed the existence of such a bug, in addition to detailing the exact order of operations you must complete in order to have it break your game. Details on such a monstrosity after the break!

Have any of you tested the video recording feature as of yet? If so, what do you think?

Update: Should be good to go for everyone now!

The latest 3DS firmware has gone live around the world. Users have been reporting that they’ve gone through the download process in North America, the UK, Australia, and Japan. Please be patient, though: some 3DS owners are saying that they’re encountering an error when attempting to download the firmware. Nintendo is likely pushing it out to everyone gradually.

The upgrade brings in a slew of new features/improvements, most notably video recording functionality for the 3DS Camera application.

The full list of changes are as follows:

  1. 3D Video, and 3D Stop Motion animation videos
  2. QR code functionality will be improved
  3. Transfer game files between Nintendo 3DS systems
  4. New puzzles and extra Find Mii Dungeon
  5. eShop will be expanded as well, you’ll soon have access to game demos (for both downloadable games and retail games)
  6. You’ll be able to download software while your system is in Sleep Mode
  7. The eShop will also support Download Codes (which will be used primarily for special promotions) and will enable users to save payment information to their system if they so so desire
  8. The update will add a new application to your system’s Home Menu:”Nintendo Zone” active when you’re at a Nintendo 3DS hotspot location. Provides free access to exclusive content, streaming 3D videos (such as game trailers, tv ads) trivia games, and retail promotions
