Capcom has been very, very good at teasing announcements. In fact, there was a whole ordeal leading up to E3 on their Twitter regarding a secret announcement. Now Capcom’s at it again, but fans will have to wait awhile to find out what mystery lies ahead. On the company’s official Twitter account, there is a tease relating to a sequel “that will blow your mind.”

“In five, we’re having a meeting to discuss a new game sequel that will BLOW YOUR MIND when you find out about it… much, much later.”

As is usually the case with these types of secrets, we don’t know what Capcom is cooking up. That means the genre of the game, platform, etc. are completely unknown. Sadly, we’ll have to wait awhile before the mystery is unveiled.

The Conduit has been on store shelves for a few weeks now and has received mostly a positive reaction. It’s not the highest rated title rated for Wii nor is it the best-selling title  on the platform, but most gamers probably wouldn’t be opposed to seeing a sequel. High Voltage Software has expressed some interest in the past regarding more games for The Conduit’s storyline, and, well, if you played the first game, you know that the ending leaves for the door wide open for another title. Fortunately, it looks like High Voltage still has plans for at least one sequel to The Conduit.

In a recent Radio-Blodec podcast, HVS’ producer Joshua Olsen was first asked about the amount of sales needed for the company to create a sequel. We have the translated response below:

“I have no idea, it all depends on the fans and sales but it’s a little early for now to assume anything. Anyway, we are very interested to make a sequel to The Conduit, it’s quite a robust world and there are more stories we want to tell.”

Next, here’s Mr. Olsen’s response regarding whether there are plans to develop a sequel:

“Sure there are, The Conduit is the first part for our hero and we want to make more parts to tell more things about him.”

Last but not least, Mr. Olsen says work has not started on a sequel, yet.

“We have not started to work on a sequel.”
