Nintendo has a video up showing how its Gamescom 2015 booth came together. Additionally, you can view a few highlight videos after the break.

It’s time for the latest Famitsu’s most wanted games chart! Dragon Quest VIII is still number one, and Monster Hunter X is gaining ground towards the top of the chart.

Head past the break for the full chart. All votes were cast between July 23 and July 29.

Following the release of Splatoon’s August update, Twitter user “NWPlayer123” data mined the files and managed to discover images of upcoming weapons. We’ve placed the images past the break to avoid spoilers.

Image & Form is planning a game that connects SteamWorld Heist and SteamWorld Dig. That’s according to Brjann Sigurgeirsson, who shared the information during an interview with Power Up Gaming.

When asked if Steamworld Heist ties into Steamworld Dig, Sigurgeirsson said:

“It does, yeah. There are some flashbacks. But there is at least one game coming in between so that game is sort of going to tie them both backwards and forwards.”

Sigurgeirsson sadly didn’t provide any additional details. He was asked about what sort of game Image & Form has in mind, but only mentioned:

“I’m not sure. *Laughs* Well, I’m not sure I’m going to talk about it. *Laughs* Right now we’re sort of focusing on Heist so I don’t want to get into details about it.”

Just like in North America, Splatoon’s third European Splatfest was pretty close. But in the end, the South Pole beat out the North Pole by just a few points.

The North Pole had a very slight edge in popularity. However, because the South Pole won 52 percent of the matches, that side came out on top.

Take a look at the image above for the full results.

Final Fantasy XIV may have a shot of coming to the NX. Director and producer Naoki Yoshida has said that he’s waiting to know when the console will be released, and the company would need to talk with Nintendo about the policies regarding cross-platform gameplay before a port can be considered. Note that negotiations with Nintendo have not yet been started.

Golden Sun: The Lost Age finally launched on the North American Wii U eShop this past Thursday. Watch some footage from the GBA game below.

A trio of Wii U titles are on sale over on Amazon and Best Buy. Both retailers have discounted Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Mario Kart 8, and Mario Party 10 by $15. The sale should last through the next week.

It’s not much of a discount, but I’ll also mention that Best Buy has the Splatoon Wii U bundle for $25 off. This will also be on sale through the following week.
