The Pokémon Company has revealed a stunning projection based art installation created alongside fashion designer Yoshio Kubo.
The fascinating installation uses a range of different sized mirrored pyramids and projections of the culturally iconic Pikachu and PokéBall, with the aim of demonstrating the various stages of fashion creation.
The beautiful Pokémon installation was premiered to the attendees of Yoshio Kubo’s catwalk presentation, as well as being on show to the general public who also had the chance to view the installation as part of Pitti Immagine Uomo.
This installation is the first time that The Pokémon Company has had a presence at such a high profile fashion event. After the success of the installation, The Pokémon Company is continuing to seek further partners to collaborate with in the fashion space.

Modder gives Kirby human feet in Smash Bros. Wii U
Posted on 6 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Random | 16 Comments
Fans have added all sorts of characters and creations to Super Smash Bros. over the years with mods. But truly, the latest one is truly a sight to behold.
Available for Smash Bros. on Wii U is Kirby… with human feet. It was essentially made as a joke of sorts and as a response to some fan art that caught on with the internet earlier this year. The mod does have some issues, but creator LuckyJero wants to leave the imperfections in place to keep them in place. You know, to keep up with the joke and all.

The Switch durability tests aren’t finished just yet. UnlockRiver shared a new one today, which has the system being dropped from a ridiculous 1,000 feet.
Believe it or not, the Switch unit did survive. One of the Joy-Con controllers broke off, but it’s easily replaceable. The unit as a whole still worked amazingly enough.
Here’s the full video from UnlockRiver:
Son makes his own cardboard Switch, father then surprises him with the real thing

One Japanese boy made his own Switch out of cardboard, which his father – known as Mohikan on Twitter – noticed. He ended up surprising him, and in a pretty thoughtful way.
Mohikan put a real Switch into a cardboard mock-up while his son was taking a bath. On Twitter, he wrote: “I wonder when he’ll notice.”

Switch owner receives system with quality check screenshot

When you take your Switch unit out of the box for the first time, you expect it to be entirely new. Yet one user found the screenshot above on the system when starting it up following the initial boot.
It’s thought that the image is from a quality check program not typically made available to consumers. Perhaps the person operating this Switch unit accidentally pressed the screenshot button, or forgot to delete the photo during the testing process. In any case, it’s not something that you generally see, so it’s pretty interesting to see this pop up.
Odd Mario commercials promote Japanese energy drink

Mario isn’t foreign to strange advertisements in Japan. You may recall that some kooky commercials were made for Mercedes-Benz a few years ago.
Mario and friends are back in action to promote Dekavita C, a Japanese energy drink. It’s not a one-sided promotion, as these new videos also show off the 3DS and highlight the recently-released Mario Sports Superstars.

Video: Watch Link tumble down a mountain for a good 30 seconds in Zelda: Breath of the Wild

What could be more mesmerizing than watching someone tumble down a mountain in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild? YouTube user HelixSnake ended up doing just that while attempting to use his shield to snowboard after it preemptively broke. With a few fairies in storage, that only ended the long trek down the mountain.
PETA weighs in on Milk mini-game in 1-2-Switch, wants it to be more realistic
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News, Random, Switch | 90 Comments
Earlier this week, Nintendo had a bit of fun with real life farmers by taking on a new challenge with 1-2-Switch’s Milk mini-game. PETA saw this, and has now written a bizarre letter of its own to the big N.
The animal rights organization believes that 1-2-Switch isn’t being realistic in terms of how it portrays cow milking, calling it “far from reality” as the real act may sometimes be more violent. PETA thinks Nintendo should make the experience more authentic and even asks for certain sounds to be added in. If that isn’t possible, the letter suggests that Nintendo should “switch to simulating activities in which no animals suffer.”
Here’s the full letter:

Video: Switch put through an unothordox durability test
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Random, Switch, Videos | 9 Comments
When a new device comes out, tech-focused YouTube channels can’t help but put them through all sorts of durability tests. Yesterday, GizmoSlip did just that, and in some… creative ways.
As a new Switch owner, I almost couldn’t help but cringe a bit seeing the abuse it was being put through. But hey, it survived numerous drops onto concrete, various trick shots such as being tossed through the air into the dock, and more. Guess Nintendo made a pretty sturdy device!
