3DS eShop

Although Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse has mostly been shrouded in mystery since Nintendo Power’s reveal late last year, WayForward has been chugging away at the game’s development. That work has paid off as Pirate’s Curse will be making its playable debut at PAX Prime 2013 later this month. The title was included in Nintendo’s list of games at its PAX Prime booth.

This revelation suggests that details and media for Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse are on the way – keep your eyes peeled for updates. Last we heard, the 3DS eShop release is on track for a Fall 2013 launch.

We wanted to highlight one particular game from Nintendo’s PAX 2013 lineup. According to a press release provided by Nintendo, Retro City Rampage will be playable on 3DS.

As far as I know, Retro City Rampage was never announced for the handheld. It’s a bit of a surprise, but a nice one! Stop by Nintendo’s booth at PAX later this month to see the game running on 3DS for the first time.
