The third portion of the Harada’s Bar interview series with Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai continued today with topics such as his health and the 3DS game Kid Icarus: Uprising.
Regarding his health, Sakurai actually says he’s fine right now. He spoke about some problems with his shoulder that took quite some time to get better, but it looks like that has now cleared up.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 launch month sales in the US have already more than tripled lifetime sales of the original game

Here’s an interesting tidbit about Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. In the game’s launch month – which was July – it has already outsold the first game on 3DS. In fact, it has actually more than tripled the lifetime sales of the original title.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin came in strong on the just-released NPD charts for July. It managed to come in third for the month.
On July 19, Capcom announced that the game had already shipped over one million copies worldwide.

3DS update out now (version 11.15.0-47)

Update (7/27): The patch notes are in and are indeed what was expected. They state: “Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.”
Original (7/26): There’s not been a whole lot of 3DS news to report as of late, but the system just received a new update. Nintendo has started distribution of version 11.15.0-47.
Right now we’re still waiting on the official patch notes from Nintendo, but we’ll keep an eye out for further information. We’re assuming that the company will only make mention of stability improvements.
The last 3DS system update prior to today, version 11.14.0-46, was in November 2020. Version 11.13.0-45 dropped in December 2019 and addressed a StreetPass issue.
