Astral Ascent update 1.2

Astral Ascent just issued a new version 1.2 update.

There are a few notable things here, including 20 new Hero Spells and PvP Arena in local co-op mode. Other aspects include telescope offline working everywhere now, various small changes, and more.

Wira & Taksa

RedDeerGames, along with 3S Design, announced today that Wira & Taksa is receiving a Switch release. Look fir it on February 23, 2024.

Wira & Taksa is a gravity platformer in which one character specializes in using the Iron Hammer to take down enemies (but has limited speed) while the other is faster and more dynamic, which allows him to easily overcome tracks (though he’s not as strong). Publisher Super Rare Games, along with developer Bynine Studios, today confirmed that they’ll be releasing Cavern of Dreams on Switch. It’s slated for February 29, 2024.

At its core, Cavern of Dreams is a N64-style 3D platformer. Players will be able to gain new abilities, meet unique characters, solve puzzles, and more.

Astro Duel 2

Wild Rooster will launch Astro Duel 2 on Switch next month, the studio announced today. A release is scheduled for March 7, 2024.

The title is a co-op and competitive arena combat game that blurs the line between top-down space shooter and platform fighter. Learn more about it in the following overview:

Sword of the Necromancer Resurrection

Grimorio of Games today unveiled Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection, a 3D remake of the original game. It’ll be heading to Switch in 2024, but prior to Sword of the Necromancer: Revenant.

Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection was originally planned as a stretch goal in the sequel’s Kickstarter campaign. The game will be using Revenant’s engine, and players will be able to relive Tama’s quest to resurrect her lover in 3D. Grimorio of Games says there’ll be “exciting new ways to battle and renewed mechanics and systems, including the possibility of customizing the summoned monsters’ AI.” Also included are remastered high quality illustrations and voice acting (both in English and Japanese) along with new scenes to delve deeper in Tama and Koko’s tragic love story. Those who beat the game can also receive rewards in Revenant, including the ability to summon bosses from the remake as special summons.
