Nintendo and Camelot aren’t slowing down with adding new characters to Mario Tennis Aces. After Paulina joins the game in March, two more characters will follow after that.

Kamek has been announced to be playable in Mario Tennis Aces starting in April. Dry Bones will then follow in May. As long as you participate in the online tournaments, you’ll be able to unlock both during their respective months (they’ll be available to all after that).

Towards the end of last year, a new company entered the ring to offer physical releases on Switch that were previously digital-only. Warned Collectors started out by revealing Furi, Dungeon Rushers, and Pankapu as part of its plans.

Announced today, the physical edition of Pankapu launches on April 17 followed by Dungeon Rushers on May 8. Furi is still on the way, and we’re also hearing that Warned Collectors has picked up Shift Quantum, Zombie Night Terror, Shape of the World, and Evoland Legendary Edition. Pre-orders for these titles haven’t opened just yet, but we’ll let you know when that changes.

HumaNature Studios announced today that actor and musician Macaulay Culkin was brought on as an executive producer for ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove. Culkin and his team at Bunny Ears Games provided “crucial input to ensure the game is a hella good time” with their “wry wit and penchant for satire”. Culkin also “knew exactly what would – and wouldn’t – appeal to the thousands of Kickstarter backers that funded the sequel.”

ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove is just a couple of days off, as we’ll be seeing it on March 1. A launch is planned on the Switch eShop.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy

As we reported earlier in the west, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is launching for Switch in the west on April 9. Capcom followed up on that by making the date official today, and confirming something else about the release.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy was sold both physically and digitally in Japan. Unfortunately, it will only be offered on the eShop in both North America and Europe. If that’s something you’re disappointed about, you can purchase a physical copy from Play-Asia here. Despite being the Japanese edition, English is supported any will work on any Switch system.

Here’s some additional information on Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy from Capcom:

A Prototype Missions demo for Daemon X Machina was recently released on the Switch eShop. With that in mind, Digital Foundry has taken a closer look at the download to see how it holds up from a technical perspective.

As far as resolution goes, Daemon X Machina targets 1080p when docked. But as Digital Foundry notes, it’ll more often sit at 1664 x 936. Resolution tends to reach 504p in portable mode, though it can drop to 408p. The lower resolution, along with a lack of anti-aliasing, can make things look a bit pixelated.

The Pokemon Company has passed along an official announcement recapping today’s Pokemon Direct and announcement of Pokemon Sword/Shield. Additionally, we have some screenshots and art from the game. Everything can be found below.
