2K announced today that NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 will be available starting October 26. The game is due out physically and digitally starting October 16.

Update: SEGA has released the announcement trailer for Puyo Puyo eSports: 

 

Original: Two weeks ago, Puyo Puyo eSports was given an age rating in Korea, hinting at the game’s imminent release. Today, SEGA officially confirmed this. Puyo Puyo eSports will launch on Nintendo Switch in Japan on October 25 for 1,999 Yen. It’ll be a digital-only title. A Western release has not yet been announced.

As the game’s name suggests, the focus of this title is on competitive gaming. It features two rulesets from Puyo Puyo Fever, in addition to the standard rules from Puyo Puyo 2. The game has online modes and an offline tournament mode. It features a total of 24 playable characters from across the Puyo Puyo series.

Nintendo has posted another update to the Smash Bros. Blog for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This time around, we have an introduction to the Shovel Knight Assist Trophy.

ARMS’ last update took place all the way back in April. But just a few minutes ago on Twitter, Nintendo announced that a new patch is going live tomorrow.

The latest update for Minecraft is now available, bringing the game up to version 1.6.1. It includes a few fixes among other things.

At the start of 2019, Travis Touchdown will finally be making a return with Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes. But fans have also shown quite a bit of interest in having past entries in the series appear on Switch as well.

While director Suda51 has acknowledged interest in doing this previously, it appears he’s actually now taking a proactive approach. Speaking with Nintendeal at PAX West 2018, he mentioned that he’s in talks with Marvelous in hopes of bringing No More Heroes 1 and 2 to Switch.

The Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle was announced last week, and it’s arriving very soon. The collection containing seven games that pay tribute to the classic era of arcade side-scrolling co-op games is due out tomorrow.

In Japan, Capcom will actually be offering a physical version. This will be available a bit later in the year on December 6. Based on Capcom’s prior releases, English support will likely be included.
