Yeah, it's a good thing you mentioned personal play styles, L.A.C. I should reiterate that I don't think Mega Man and Villager are bad, they just don't fit my style. Mega Man is all about spacing, and Villager is about setups. I'm more of an in-your-face kind of player, going in for melee attacks most of the time. As a matter of fact, I rarely use special attacks outside of recovery. These reasons are why I've been most excited to play Little Mac over any other newcomer. Though I definitely want to see how Duck Hunt Dog plays (for the record, I've been avoiding gameplay videos; I may have had the characters spoiled, but the least I can do is keep their movesets a mystery).
And I also agree that, despite the five characters we've been given, the game does feel more balanced. I may not like playing as Mega Man and Villager, but I also had the hardest time when fighting them, so they clearly have some potential that I am incapable of accessing.
