Nintendo's revealing a Metroid. Aslo were going to have a trailer for the new Zelda on Wii U. Smash bros is going to be announce fro the first half of 2014. Rare's new game is either going to be a Sci-fi RPG like Mass Effect, or a 3D Platforming collectathon like Banjo-Kazooie. Nintendo will actually win E3 without having a press conference. I think at least one of these things will happen, since theres like 5 predictions there.

Holy crap, I would love a full-on freeroam 2D adventure Metroid on a handheld. Dread, or something. It's been

Wii U needs it more than 3DS, though =/

I'd say it's way too early for Wii U Zelda (we've already got 2 Zelda's in the show!), and I guess you meant "Retro" instead of "Rare"?

Let's see, games we're likely/definitely getting:

- Super Mario U
- Mario Kart
- Smash Bros in some form (possibly just screens)
- Bayonetta 2 (although Nintendo has ignored awesome exclusive 3rd party games before, see: Madworld / No More Heroes / Last Story)
- Wonderful 101 (this game has a lot more to show)
- Pikmin 3 (let's hope they keep it brief?)
- Sonic Lost World
- Retro project

I'd say Xenoblade's sequel isn't likely to make an appearance, I think the series has never been shown at E3? Then again, it's a Direct...

is about due to announce a new game. I'm hoping Nintendo has entrusted them with Star Fox. I don't even care for the Star Fox franchise, but Treasure nails shooter gameplay every single time. And I think there hasn't been a normal Star Fox since the N64 title?

Or Kid Icarus, but I hope that franchise goes a completely different direction (3rd person action-adventure).

My absolute perfect scenario also involves a 10-minute segment on all the fantastic indie games that Nintendo is bringing to eShop. Seriously, why doesn't Nintendo ever highlight Renegade Kid / WayForward in their press conferences? I mean, why highlight/market your under-appreciated/under-marketed digital services?

In true Nintendo tradition, I'm also expecting some fantastic announements/trailers right after the conference, that they should have included instead.

Oh I'm predicting Nintendo will have a short video showing games that are coming to the Wii U, but are not going to be mentioned in dept, similarly to last years video. In here we will have confirmation for a lot of games that have neither been confirmed or denied for Wii U like Call of Duty Ghost and Wolfenstein The New Order (Just two that popped into my head).

I'd hate it if Retro did an FPS game (that's what you meant by shooter, right?), unless it has some completely unique twist to it. Like Metroid.

Few more predictions:

- Mario U won't be much prettier than Galaxy, because that game's already stunning and has basically perfected the style. Bigger levels, probably.
- Wii U will get a pricecut Holidays 2013. Probably $50.

I was actually thinking of shooter similar to Geist. :D
Anyway, seeing the talent they've acquired recently, I'm thinking it'll be some kind of open-world action adventure game, probably a TPS or FPS.

I am worried that the Nintendo Direct is only an hour long. I am excited to see the new direction of Mario U, but really, if there aren't at least 3 'surprises,' as in unannounced games revealed in the Nintendo Direct I will be disappointed. These games will undoubtedly be highlighted in some way in the Nintendo Direct:

Pikmin 3
Wonderful 101
Bayonetta 2
X
Mario U
Mario Kart U
Smash Bros.
Luigi U
Mario and Sonic Olympic game
Wii Fit U
Wii Party
Game and Wario
Wind Waker HD
Retro project
Fire Emblem X Shin
Yoshi's Yarn

When I look at this list(and I might be missing some) it worries me. Not because the majority of these games won't be good. The vast majority will be unbelievably good. But if these 14-15 games are slammed into an hour long presentation that would only allow about 4 minutes of focus per game. My hope is that games likes Pikmin, Game and Wario, and Luigi U get bypassed, but I pretty much know that won't happen because I know how Nintendo is. I also don't care about Wii Fit U too much or Wii Party U, but again, it's Nintendo, they are going to focus on these games. BUT if they would just let those games slip through, it would leave more time for some new reveals. Unless they plan on simply rattling through the games, maybe 2 minutes per game, which is possible, then I guess an hour will be long enough. I was hoping for 1.5 hours.

I am hoping for new announcements from dormant franchises more than anything. I don't care as much about the games I already know I will be seeing. Show me a Star Fox, F-Zero, Golden Sun, Kirby, Earthbound! Just one of these franchises, or something similar would be enough for me to say this E3 was successful for Nintendo. But with everything else destined to be shown, it's going to be a success either way. : )

Edit: I don't think they focus on 3DS games at all in this Nintendo Direct.

They're not going to talk for 4 minutes about X, Game and Wario or Fire Emblem X Shin, I can promise you that. Too Japanese or too close to launch. I'd be surprised if they show off X and Fire Emblem at all; they're unlikely to get simultaneous global releases anyway. I would go as far as saying it'd be unlike Nintendo to focus that long on Wonderful 101 or Bayonetta 2; quirky 3rd party Japanese games don't get that much attention. Nintendo certainly didn't pay attention to Viewtiful Joe, No More Heroes or Madworld back in the day.

I don't think you can expect 3 surprise announcements apart from your list. Yes, Mario U and Mario Kart have been announced, but c'mon, they still count as new games. We don't know a single thing about them! And Golden Sun and Kirby aren't dormant franchises! We've had 2 new Kirby games in the past 3 years!

I expect a quick look at LTTP2, probably a new trailer. But yeah, not a big focus on 3DS at all.

I also expect Nintendo to do what they always do: highlight half a dozen games. Most of the above titles will be mentioned briefly at most.

Retro's the big question mark. I'm hoping it's a deep single player game, NOT an FPS, Star Fox or F-Zero.

Well, yeah, Kirby isn't dormant, but a console Golden Sun would be killer. So if most games will be only mentioned in passing so to speak, what do you think the 6 or so titles will be that they focus in on? Mario and Mario Kart are pretty much givens, probably Wind Waker because it's a Zelda game. Retro's game seems like a must. Apart from that? Maybe Pikmin and Wii Fit U?

Yeah, Mario U, Mario Kart and Retro are shoe-ins. It depends how far they've gotten on Super Smash development and if there's anything to be explained. I'm guessing there's some new kind of gameplay gimmick or cross-platform explaining to do.

Wind Waker HD: If there's new content. If not, they could just highlight it with a trailer and a couple of lines.

I think they should only show a quick trailer of Pikmin, we've seen tons of that game in past E3's and Directs. There's really no need to focus on it anymore (but Nintendo might, they did spend 15 minutes talking about the Luigi minigame in Nintendoland.....)

I'm expecting some renewed interest in the casual/non-gamer market, so Wii Fit U is likely. Possibly another game Nintendo has up its sleeve to show why the gamepad matters. Let's face it, Wii Fit U is not that game. Wii Sports U, maybe?

The other focus games might very well be 3rd party efforts. Lost World would top the list of likely candidates.

I can see that Nintendo is making it a full Wii U direct (according to their Facebook page). Excite? Excite!

Edit: Let me just state some last-minute prediction...
We'll be seeing some late ports of these games:
Hitman Absolution
Tomb Raider
and possibly Sleeping Dogs
