I am worried that the Nintendo Direct is only an hour long. I am excited to see the new direction of Mario U, but really, if there aren't at least 3 'surprises,' as in unannounced games revealed in the Nintendo Direct I will be disappointed. These games will undoubtedly be highlighted in some way in the Nintendo Direct:
Mario Kart U
Mario and Sonic Olympic game
Wii Fit U
Game and Wario
Wind Waker HD
Fire Emblem X Shin
When I look at this list(and I might be missing some) it worries me. Not because the majority of these games won't be good. The vast majority will be unbelievably good. But if these 14-15 games are slammed into an hour long presentation that would only allow about 4 minutes of focus per game. My hope is that games likes Pikmin, Game and Wario, and Luigi U get bypassed, but I pretty much know that won't happen because I know how Nintendo is. I also don't care about Wii Fit U too much or Wii Party U, but again, it's Nintendo, they are going to focus on these games. BUT if they would just let those games slip through, it would leave more time for some new reveals. Unless they plan on simply rattling through the games, maybe 2 minutes per game, which is possible, then I guess an hour will be long enough. I was hoping for 1.5 hours.
I am hoping for new announcements from dormant franchises more than anything. I don't care as much about the games I already know I will be seeing. Show me a Star Fox, F-Zero, Golden Sun, Kirby, Earthbound! Just one of these franchises, or something similar would be enough for me to say this E3 was successful for Nintendo. But with everything else destined to be shown, it's going to be a success either way. : )
Edit: I don't think they focus on 3DS games at all in this Nintendo Direct.
