HandyGames planning ten more games for Switch

Posted on November 20, 2017 by (@NE_Brian) in News, Switch eShop

HandyGames just published Aces of the Luftwaffe: Squadron on the Switch eShop at the end of last week. The company is only getting started with Nintendo’s console, as ten more games are in the pipeline.

Townsmen is up first in early 2018. Compared to the original mobile game, it’ll have completely reworked UI and optimized joypad handling.

HandyGames is also working on Clouds & Sheep 2 and Dynamite Fishing for Q2 2018. The action-packed 3D tank game Panzer Panic, a game in which four players can battle in co-op split-screen mode or compete in versus mode, is also on the way. We can look forward to four turn-based strategy titles, including 1943 Deadly Desert and 1944 Burning Bridges. Finally, two secret projects are in development “that will be announced soon.”

HandyGames’ CEO said separately in an interview with Switch Reviews that Aces of the Luftwaffe: Squadron started before Nintendo announced its new console. Since they felt that the concept of the Switch is a perfect fit, this game was decided to be released first. Bringing over Aces of the Luftwaffe went well, and HandyGames maintained good contact with Nintendo.

It was also stated that Townsmen won’t be a simple port of the mobile game. It will not have microtransactions. Finally, some of the upcoming projects from HandyGames will be exclusive to Switch.

Thanks to Ninwed for the tip.
